Chichén Itza is one of the new 7 wonders of the world.
It is famous as being perhaps the greatest city in Mayan civilization.
It was considered the most diverse city in Mayan history and has been recognized as part of the new 7 wonders of the world by UNESCO.
While on their Mexican adventure, High On Life decided to go explore the ruins, but their plans were foiled by government authorities.
As it turns out, photography has a lot of restrictions at this location, and anything more than a pocket camera or cellphone is not allowed without permits.
This is one of the most strict historical tourist destinations I have heard of.
I fully understand the requirement of permits for professional gear, but Mexico takes it to another level.
Even small tripods and amateur mirrorless / dslr cameras are not allowed.
High On Life learned the hard way.
But in true High On Life fashion, they made the most of it and found another adventure for the day.
