The Kraken Cup: Last Day Of The Race!

For those who have been following along, The Kraken Cup has gone exactly as expected.

It’s been a race of shenanigans, follies, and adventures!

There have been a number of crazy events from no wind days out in the hot sun driving sailors mad, to fast rolling storms sinking these tiny sailing vessels.

Perhaps my favorite part of this race is hearing about sailors having to run ashore to fashion new boat parts out of drift wood just to complete the next leg of the race.

This event is what sailboat racing ought to be about.  The million dollar races of the modern world are entertaining, but there’s something especially exciting about a group of salty sailors racing down the coast in a half sunk ship.

I’ve a added a few of my favorite clips from the race below in no particular order.
